I applied marketing concepts I had learned over the years. You know, where you maximize the ROI of the marketing program to generate leads and work with sales to convert the leads into customers. There is nothing wrong with this thinking, except that it is highly tactical.
More growth-generating techniques have entered over the years - paid ads, PLG, etc. - with a significant focus on comparing the techniques to determine the highest ROI. More tactics.
One has to ask - Is that the goal?
Reach The Right People And Turn Them Into Customers.
That’s what matters MOST.
Not the relative investment in the GTM program.
